Daval Furniture invests for the future…
Daval, leaders in the design and British manufacture of quality fitted furniture invest a remarkable £900k to enable and boost its future business growth. In response, LEP, Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership, has afforded Daval an impressive £88,920 grant to support its dynamic and astute business drive.
In short, LEP unlock business potential with the aim to accelerate growth across the Leeds City Region’s. Working with public and private sector partners, LEP has offered its support and funding to help Daval grow, attract new investment to the region and develop further skills, energy and digital infrastructure to create new employment and business prosperity.
Accompanying LEP’s support, Daval has invested a total of £900,000 which has been implemented across several core growth initiatives that include:
- Machinery - Capex investment facilitated the installation of new machinery to enable and drive future production, design and manufacturing capabilities.
This investment has amplified Daval’s manufacturing facilities, doubled capacity and created new technologies to allow it to gain more ‘production efficiency’ and ‘automation’ in the creation of its quality kitchen and bedroom fitted furniture.
Ultimately an end-to-end solution, this capital spending has removed the need for manual intervention and additional programming. As a result, Daval is able to confidently estimate a reduction in human error and need for internal remakes to increase customer satisfaction and minimise the costs naturally associated with bespoke furniture.
This technological investment has doubled Daval’s remit for production, as well as support a more proficient system for increased sales and decreased material waste.
By combining its machinery and respective software, Daval has intelligently reduced the time it takes to develop and market new products by approximately 50%. A business able to anticipate and react to changing markets, Daval can now take advantage of taking the ‘first-to-market’ approach to ensure it remains competitive and highly-economical for business and customer.
- Employment - Creation of 9x Full-time, permanent jobs across the company over the next 2 years with new positions within Sales, Design and Manufacturing
Simon Bodsworth, Managing Director at Daval says “I think investment has been key to our continued growth, welcoming expansion across our software and machine capabilities.
