Terms and Conditions of Guarantee
At Daval, we take price in the exceptionally high quality standards of our products, and we are pleased to offer all our customers a 5-year guarantee against manufacturing faults from the date of purchase subject to these terms and conditions. The original invoice is required as proof of purchase.
What is covered
Our guarantee covers defects in material and workmanship of all products or parts manufactured by Daval.
Our guarantee is valid for customers resident in England, Wales, Scotland, the Channel Islands and [Northern Ireland] only.
What is not covered
Our guarantee does not cover defects as a result of any drawings, designs or specifications supplied by customers, fair wear and tear, wilful damage, misuse, abuse or negligence, abnormal or inappropriate use or failure to follow our instructions (whether oral or in writing). This guarantee does not cover misuse or alteration of the products without our prior written approval, parts, materials or equipment which is not manufactured by Daval, glass breakage, wirework, accessories, pull-outs, lighting, glassware, mirrors or appliances or where the products or parts have been used for a non-domestic purpose.
Our guarantee covers only the repair or replacement of the actual products or parts manufactured by us and does not cover consequential or incidental damage suffered by any person (including damage to property).
If, in the unfortunate there is a problem with your products or parts, you should contact the retailer first to resolve the problem. If the retailer is unable to resolve your problem satisfactorily, you should contact Daval Furniture Limited by post at Daval House, Spa Fields Industrial Estate, New Street, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield HD7 5BB, by email at email@example.com or by telephone on 01484 848500 where we will assess your claim.
We will examine the product or part and decide if this is covered under our guarantee. We will then, at our sole discretion, either repair the defective product or part or replace it with the same or a comparable product. Where a repair is carried out, we shall be responsible for the costs of repair, spare parts, labour and travel for our employees (or nominated representative) provided we are able to gain access to the defective product or part without incurring any additional costs.
Where a replacement product or part is provided by us, we reserve the right to provide a replacement of a similar nature if the original product or part is no longer available. We shall not be liable for any minor variation in the colour of any repaired or replacement products and no warranty is given that such products will match each other.
Any repaired or replaced products or parts will be covered by the unexpired term of our guarantee only.
General Legal Rights
Our guarantee is not transferable by you to another person.
Our guarantee gives you specific legal rights in addition to the rights given to you by law. It does not, in any way, affect the rights given to you by law and any products or parts excluded from this guarantee may still be covered by the rights given to you by law. You can obtain information about your legal rights from trading standards offices or citizens’ advice bureaux.
