Best of British

Posted on: 09/12/2011

With the UK economy still struggling to get back on its feet, buying British is once again in vogue with more and more consumers opting to support home-grown companies. To help them do this, a 'Made in Britain' marque has been launched in the hope of boosting sales of British-made products and services by helping shoppers identify goods of British origin. The campaign to encourage the use of the marque is being led by British kitchen manufacturer Stoves.

We are strong believers that British is most definitely best and have always tried to opt for British suppliers, despite much of the furniture industry being traditionally based in Germany or Italy. British manufacturing is still regarded as a ‘stamp of quality’ and we are keen to prove that to be true. “It can take 6-8 weeks to have problems resolved from European manufacturers, so being in the UK has a big advantage as retailers benefit from swift and efficient service which is then felt by their customers.” Simon Bodsworth, Marketing and Business Development Manager.
