In July 1978, our founder, David Bodsworth, was working as a trained cabinet maker when he decided to start a business designing and selling furniture for people’ homes. It was then, while working from a small shop in West Yorkshire, that Daval was born.
We are passionate about designing and manufacturing the most exquisite, made-to-measure fitted kitchens and bedrooms for homes across the UK, using materials of the highest quality that come under close scrutiny to ensure they meet the Daval standard, and that of our customers.
Individual possibilities are at the heart of Daval. While our fitted kitchen and fitted bedroom styles range from classic to contemporary – and everything in between – each Daval kitchen and bedroom is individually designed to your exact specification before being made-to-measure, meaning no two are ever the same.
All our cabinetry is made at our factory in West Yorkshire, using wood sourced from FSC Certified UK forests to ensure everything we make seamlessly blends style and functionality with sustainability and longevity.
The beauty of individual possibility lies in being able to design bespoke cabinetry for any room in the home. While many customers start with Daval for their fitted kitchen or bedroom, they often then commission a complementary utility room, boot room or media room as their project develops.
Not limited only to stunning classic or contemporary kitchens and bedrooms, Daval cabinetry can be designed to furnish a range of beautiful and practical spaces around the home, including home offices and studies, utility and boot rooms, media and television rooms, bespoke dressing rooms, and home bars and entertaining spaces.
While we now design and manufacture made-to-measure cabinetry for kitchens, bedrooms and the whole home alongside our network of more than
100 Design Partners across the UK, Daval’s long-standing commitment to British manufacturing remains.
The company remains independent and family-run by the Bodsworth family, with David and Alyson’s three sons, Simon, Paul, and James, at the helm. We are hugely proud that every piece of furniture we produce continues to be made right here in the same valley where the Daval story started back in 1978, meaning when you choose Daval, you choose quality British craftsmanship.
